Patrons throughout Isla Vista and beyond are encouraged to bookmark the updated Goleta Valley Library Bookvan schedule available online at www.GoletaValleyLibrary.org/Bookvan, which will take effect on Tuesday, January 6.

The new schedule includes several exciting changes:

• A regular schedule that is the same every week helps make visiting the Bookvan an easy-to-remember habit.
• An updated Tuesday-Saturday schedule, so you can now visit us on weekends.
• Revised days and times so we can reach more community members where they are – especially students, families, and after-school programs.
• New opportunities for collaboration with all our Isla Vista partners.

The new schedule will include five of our previous stops, which offer safe and convenient access to patrons visiting by car, bike, skateboard, or on foot. Find us at the following days, times, and locations:

• Tuesdays:
  • IVCSD Community Center (976 Embarcadero del Mar Suite 101) from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Estero Park (889 Camino Del Sur) from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
• Wednesdays:
  • UCSB Orfalea Family Children's Center (West Campus Point Lane) from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Isla Vista Elementary School (6875 El Colegio Road) from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
• Thursdays:
  • Friendship Manor (6647 El Colegio Rd) from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • IVCSD Community Center (976 Embarcadero del Mar Suite 101) from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
• Fridays:
  • Goleta Valley Library Storytimes around town (check the Calendar for locations that change weekly) from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Estero Park (889 Camino Del Sur) from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
• Saturdays:
  • Friendship Manor (6647 El Colegio Rd) from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

What can you do at the Bookvan? So many things – at no cost! Register for a library card, check out books for all ages, borrow Honor System books with no due date, get information about accessing the e-Library, pick up your holds, and so much more. We can’t wait to see you on our new route!
